   At C-SPAN, we believe an informed citizenry is vital for democracy. For 47 years, we've provided bipartisan, unfiltered political coverage, funded by our cable and satellite partners—without a dime of government funding.

   As fewer people subscribe to cable and satellite services, diversifying our funding becomes crucial to continue offering unfiltered coverage of Congress, the White House, the Supreme Court, and more. Your support ensures C-SPAN remains a reliable source for government proceedings, accessible on both traditional TV and digital platforms, allowing you to watch whenever and wherever you consume news.

   100% of your donation to C-SPAN supports:

1. ### **Are donations to C-SPAN tax-deductible?**
   
   Yes! As a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization under the National Cable Satellite Corporation dba C-SPAN, with Tax ID # 84-0751854, your donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. You will receive a confirmation email or letter acknowledging your donation, which can serve as your official tax receipt.
